2015 Kid’s Camps
Cranberry Golf Resort offers a wide variety of weekly kids camps in different interest areas and for different age ranges during the summer months. These camps include:
• Tiny Trekkers (Ages 3-6)
• Shining Stars (Ages 7-13)
• MVP's (Ages 7-13)
• Early Explorers (Ages 7-13)
• Young Leaders (Ages 13-16)
• Future Masters (Ages 10-14)
Hours and Location
Camp Cranberry operates from 8:30am – 5pm Monday to Friday. Pick-up and Drop-off occur in the lower north parking lot of the Cranberry Golf Clubhouse. The Camp runs out of the Camp Barn, where campers can store their lunches, snacks and belongings. There are no lockers in the Camp Barn, and the door is not locked during the day, so we highly recommend that campers do not bring anything valuable with them to camp. Our camps make use of many of the amenities on-site, such as the playground, swimming pools, tennis courts, beach volley ball pit, basketball court, driving range, marina, archery range, etc. Several of our camps also participate in off-site walks, hikes, bicycle rides and bus trips.
All camps have the opportunity for a daily swim*. Weather-permitting, the swim will take place at the Family Pool attached to the Recreation Centre. Tiny Trekkers campers will be required to wear a life-jacket regardless of swim level. All other campers will be required to take a swim test if they wish to be allowed to use the slide or swim in the deep end without a life jacket. Campers who pass the swim test will receive a bracelet to wear for the duration of camp. On days when the weather chooses not to cooperate, the swim will be moved to the indoor pool at the main Inn.
*SWIM TIMES FOR TINY TREKKERS MAY ALTERNATE BETWEEN MORNINGS AND AFTERNOONS, SO HALF-DAY CAMPERS MAY NOT ALWAYS HAVE A SWIM.
A camp lunch program is being offered. For an extra $10/day, campers will be able to choose from a buffet style lunch prepared by our chefs in house daily. Sample meals include macaroni & cheese, hot dogs, sandwiches and a variety of snacks. Please be sure to bring your own snacks and water for hours before and after lunch.
Camp Shirts and Hats
This year Camp Cranberry will have t-shirts and hats available for sale. Campers who register for a full week of camp will automatically receive a Camp Cranberry T-shirt**. All campers participating in the off-site trip on designated Fridays will be required to wear a Camp Cranberry T-shirt to enable staff to identify campers more easily. Shirts and hats can be ordered in advance (with registration) for $10 and $12 respectively (taxes included). After registration, shirts will be $12 and hats will be $15 (taxes included). Camp Cranberry shirts are different from the Cranberry Golf Resort t-shirts that may be purchased for Tie-Dye activities (the Tie-Dye shirts are NOT to be worn on trip days).
**CAMPERS WHO REGISTER FOR MORE THAN 4 FULL WEEKS WILL RECEIVE A FREE HAT AT THE START OF THE 5TH WEEK.
Due to the number of allergies and dietary restrictions among our campers, camp lunches will NOT be included this year. Campers without restrictions will still have the option to purchase lunch based on a specific weekly menu. Each lunch will include a main, a side, a beverage and a dessert. Lunches ordered at the time of registration will be $7, while lunches ordered after will be $9 (taxes included). All lunch orders must be submitted and paid for by no later than 9:30am on the day they are required. All campers are encouraged to bring snacks and beverages for additional breaks throughout the day, regardless of whether lunch is brought from home or purchased through camp. Camp Cranberry is a peanut-free operation. Please do not send any peanut products with your campers.
Off-site Bike Trips
Campers are encouraged to bring their own bikes for any camps participating in off-site bike trips (Sports and Junior Exploration). When not in use during the day, bikes can be locked up at the bike rack beside the camp barn, and can be secured inside over night. If campers are not able to bring their own bikes they will be able to rent from the resort. The rental fee is $5/trip if booked at the time of registration, or $7 after (taxes included). Rentals available for camp are limited, and bikes will be assigned in order of registrations as they are processed. All campers must wear a helmet when riding.
Atoka members and Yacht Club members have the privilege of enjoying 15%-off the published registration rate for all junior camps offered through Camp Cranberry. Corporate members receive 10%-off the published registration rate. This year we will also be offering a “Frequent Camper” discount. All campers who register for a full week of camp will receive 10%-off the appropriate rate for any additional FULL weeks of camp for the remainder of the summer. These discounts do not apply to camp merchandise, lunches or rentals.
Cancellations and Refunds
Refunds for Camp Cranberry will only be granted with presentation of a doctor’s note; however, with one weeks’ notice, a credit will be given to be used for Camp Cranberry ONLY. Credits are valid until August 28, 2015. Refunds and credits may be subject to a processing fee.
